ATLANTA — Famed shoe maker Cole Haan stepped out in style with an 80th anniversary sales event that included cocktails and hors d’oeuvres last Thursday.
For the first time, Cole Haan joined forces with acclaimed jewelry designer Anna Sheffield for their first collaboration in a series of artisan partnerships. Sheffield’s limited-edition line debuts this fall in Cole Haan stores.The designer’s signature “penny keepsakes” were created to adorn Cole Haan’s anniversary penny collection. The collection includes an assortment of fabulous charm bracelets, necklaces, earrings and cufflinks. The assortment was inspired by Cole Haan’s penny collection theme that also includes the brand’s iconic weave design.The creations are beautiful — imagine the art deco detail along with the 1920’s liberty coin. Sheffield used a wide variety of metals including sterling silver and espresso gold vermeil sprinkled with distinctive pieces offset by cognac diamond detailing.Jim Seuss, Cole Haan’s CEO, personally introduced Anna Sheffield at the special event.The who’s who’s of Atlanta celebrities, TV and radio personalities were also in attendance, not to mention shoppers.Among the faces in the crowd were Renee Klein, wife of Channel 2 sports anchor Zach Klein; Channel 2 news director Marian Pittman; fashion writer and Q-100 fashion contributor Jessica Dauler; Q-100/The Bert Radio personality Jenn Hobby; and soap actress Evelyn Mims.Caren West, her entire PR team and Cole Haan store management and sales associates made the night extra special.Visit the store to indulge in the hottest shoes, handbags, jewelry and other well fabulous items you’re likely to see around Atlanta this fall.
